Locate the identifier
Look on the key housing, inside the battery compartment or on the original label for an FCC ID. Copy every letter, number and hyphen exactly, because similar-looking identifiers can refer to different transmitters.
Use FCC ID as a cross-check
Search the identifier against the approved catalog, then compare button count, button layout and body shape. An FCC relationship is useful evidence, but it does not replace a physical structure check.
Handle missing or conflicting IDs
If the marking is unreadable or the FCC result conflicts with the key image, stop automatic selection and request a photo review. Only identifiers supported by the published evidence are exposed in product fitment data.
